My dad works away, so we’re always excited to see him when he’s home. This particular afternoon he had some new flavours for us to try!
Love you Dad!

I’m sitting here typing while I admire my beautifully painted finger and toe nails, after the Pampering Mums Mothers Day at Will’s kindy.
I wish I could have bottled that expression as he concentrated on my nails, slopped and dolloped the varnish on, chose colours, massaged my fingers, chose curlers and clips and blow-dried my hair with a toy drier. I can’t have been an easy client – I kept hopping up to take photos for the kindy Facebook page and take care of Ben. Will did his utmost to make me feel pampered and special. It was such a lovely idea, and all the mums and children had a ball. Some mums then headed to work with blue lipstick and multicoloured eyeshadow! We were each presented with a bracelet that our little ones had made. Mine matches my nails perfectly and makes a great necklace too! Such a proud mummy here
The highlight of the day for Will and Ben, was that it was our turn to babysit the Living Eggs chicks from the kindy. Ben giggled most of the way home at their cheeping and squashed his face up against the cage as soon as he could, as if he could will himself into it. Once they’d been fed, watered, cuddled and observed, they spent the night in Will’s room. We didn’t realise how noisy they’d be, so he settled in our bed and we snuck him back to his room mates later.
Here he is enjoying his breakfast with them while they waited for their ride back to kindy.
It was too soon to give them back so we’ve put our names down again. They’ll be chickens by then! Thank-you Pelican Waters Kindergarten for such a memorable day!

What are you looking forward to this Mother’s Day? I’ve had mine already!
