W for Wombat Will & B for Bilby Ben – Letters for Photos & Decor

We had our first family photo shoot with the four us the other day and I can’t wait to see the photos! The gorgeous Michelle from Shellbells Photography took the photos, so I’m stalking her facebook page in case she puts up a sneak preview    I’ll do another post about what we all wore, but I also made some letters for the boys to hold. We all know how nuts I am about letters! I was also inspired by this print that I got from Karla at Hark Home:

I got some MDF from Bunnings and chalked out the letter outlines. You’d have had a good laugh seeing me all geared up to cut it with the jigsaw! Dad warned me about the dust, so I had a cap on backwards to cover my freshly washed hair, and a bandana tied over my nose and mouth. Bren whisked the boys off to visit the boys up at the main farmhouse and I got cutting. It’s not often that I get that much time to myself to make such a racket! It was such fun!

Bren then took over the finish on them, while he was working on our new old coffee table (more on the coffee table in another post) and sanded and primed and painted them.   I’m dying to see the pics of the boys holding them – they looked amazing in the preview screen when Michelle showed me!  Here’s a snap of Will with one so you can see:

Now Ben’s is hanging above his cot, and Will’s is on his very messy Expedit!
