It’s been a weekend full of so many exciting things in the Mm is for me household! I’m now about to fall asleep on my keyboard, but wanted to share some of the special moments before I dive gleefully into bed.
Adam Brand, Lucy, Greg and the team from The Great Outdoors came to film on the farm on Friday. Wombat Will had a ball doing a segment on the Rules of the Patch with Adam. I was one very proud mummy! Bilby Ben tried to eat all the berries, and practised his latest skill – walking! I’ll let you know when it airs on TV.
On Saturday morning Ben and I attended a beautiful Buddhist baby blessing for our friends’ baby girl. We gathered under a big tree near the beach. I listened to the chants and looked out over the ocean and thought about how lucky I was to be there, in an amazing place, with friends, wishing the very best for a child.
On Friday night I iced my very first fondant/fancypants icing cake for my sister’s birthday. My humblest respect to all those wedding cake professionals! I have a lot to learn, and thank goodness Bren must heave been watching his mum when he was little! He was roped in when I got stuck with wrinkles everywhere! I’ll do another post on the cake details, because it was such fun to do. And to eat of course!
Should have got a photo of my sister having her birthday dinner at the local Indian Restaurant in the traditional hat we got her to wear! – darn! 
We visited Farm Fanastic in 2011 and didn’t want to miss it this year! We didn’t find as many fun kids things to see and do, but the boys still had a wonderful day. That little animal in the bottom right, that looks like a bilby, is a Common Dunnart. I learned something new today.
